Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 September 2026

Everyday Well is a small blog about everyday healthy habits. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we look after it and what choices you have. We have tried to keep it honest and readable rather than dressing it up in legal fog. If anything here is unclear, you are welcome to write to us and ask.

The short version

We do not sell your data. We do not build advertising profiles. The only personal information we deliberately collect is what you type into our contact form, and we use it solely to read and reply to your message. Reading the blog itself requires no account, no sign-up and no personal details at all.

What we collect

Information you give us

When you use the contact form on the site, you choose to share your name, your email address, an optional topic and the content of your message. That is the whole list. We ask for your name so a reply can be personal, and for your email address so we have somewhere to send it. The topic simply helps us sort messages. Nothing on the form is a trick to gather more than it appears.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, the server that hosts Everyday Well may keep standard technical logs — the kind of routine records most web servers create by default, such as a truncated address, the page requested and the time. These are ordinary housekeeping records used to keep the site running and secure, not to identify you personally, and we do not combine them with your contact details to track individuals.

How we use your information

We use the details from the contact form for one purpose: to understand your message and respond to it. If you suggest a topic, we may use that suggestion to decide what to write about next, but your name and email are not published or attached to anything public. We will not add you to a marketing list, and we will not pass your message to a third party for their own use.

Where your message is stored

Messages sent through the form are saved to a simple file on the same hosting used to run the site, so that we can read and reply to them. Access to that hosting is limited to the people who run the blog. We keep messages only as long as they are useful for correspondence and any reasonable record of it, and we clear out old messages periodically. If you would like your message and details removed sooner, ask us and we will delete them.

Cookies and tracking

Everyday Well is built to be light and quiet. We do not run advertising networks or third-party behavioural trackers on the site. Any cookies used are strictly for basic functionality. For the full detail of what is and is not stored in your browser, please see our Cookie Policy, which sits alongside this document.

Sharing with others

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. The only parties who might handle your data are the service providers we rely on to run the site — for example, the company that hosts it — and only to the extent needed to deliver that service. Such providers are expected to protect the information and use it only on our instructions. We may also disclose information if the law genuinely requires it, but that is a rare exception, not a routine.

Your choices and rights

You are in control of the information you share with us. Because the only data we hold is what you send through the form, exercising your choices is straightforward:

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data-protection law. We aim to honour reasonable requests regardless of location. To make any request, contact us using the details below and we will respond as promptly as we can.

Keeping information safe

We take sensible, proportionate steps to protect the modest amount of information we hold, and we limit who can access it. No method of storing or transmitting data over the internet is ever perfectly secure, and we cannot promise absolute security, but we treat what you share with care and do not gather more than we need in the first place — the best protection being simply not to hold surplus data.

Children

Everyday Well is written for a general adult audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal details through the form, please contact us so we can remove them.

Changes to this policy

If the way we handle information changes, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Because our approach is deliberately minimal, we do not expect frequent or dramatic changes. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Contact us

If you have any question about privacy, or wish to make a request about your information, write to us at [email protected] or through the contact page. We read every message.
